On one of my visits to Jon's house/shop during the rebuild, Jon and I talked about carbs.

He had previously asked to see my Dell Ortos, but they had locked-up from sitting all that time.
It's a shame, they have only a few miles on them.

Anyway, since they are a challenge for another day, Jon suggested I buy a Weber Progressive.
Oddly, he later reversed his position telling me that the "Progressive is not the best choice for these engines".
He went on to say, correctly this time, that "the Progressive doesn't do well in cold weather".
