3 - Way Fridge 3
I looked around online and didn't find much in the
way of diagrams or other help.
So, I created my own wiring diagram.
If you look at the back of the fridge, you should
find a terminal block.
On mine, the AC side was already wired to a standard mains plug which, in
the donor vehicle
was just plugged into an AC receptacle so that part was easy. The cabinets
came with this receptacle
built in so all I needed to do was to take the inlets from the side of the
Vanagon and cut holes in my van
to suit. I didn't like the old '73 AC inlet anyway. While I was at it, I installed
a new AC outlet
in the base of the bed.
On the DC side of the terminal block, there was
an orange wire (that's the positive) and a purple (negative).
Since I chose not to use the relay I mentioned earlier, I ran the positive
to a fuse location on my leisure panel
and fused it appropriately. Be SURE to use a large enough gauge wire to handle
10A or better.
With the electrical work done, I turned my attention to the LPG.
