3 - Way Fridge 1
My van came with an icebox/sink unit just inside
the sliding door.
When I began re-installing the cabinets after the butchery performed by the
welder,
I found I didn't like the icebox. The thing itself worked well enough, but
it took up too much
floor space and blocked the door.
Having seen pictures of custom interiors on JK and elsewhere, I decided
I wanted the cabinets
all down the driver's (left) side like the ones I'd seen and the later Vanagon/T25
types.
As it happened, I found an '82 Vanagon Camper in the local junk yard/breakers.
In the only good deal that place ever gave me, I came away with the entire
Vanagon kitchen
for 50 bucks! I left the LPG tank and sought one in better condition. Besides,
I didn't want to
crawl about in the mud all day trying to get that one off.
The job of installing all this stuff took some doing.
