Concertina Pipes 2

It turned out that the PLASTIC mesh down the center of the pipes had melted.
When it did, the resulting pool of hot molten plastic burned through the insulation.

On the left is what used to be the inner mesh.
You can see the hole in the insulation jacket in the middle.
